Yeah was due to take up stud duties after the King's Stand Stakes but things haven't been right with the 3yo colt, so they did the deed early.

jimmyz 2nd June 2012 07:12 AM

Great to see So You Think winning another group 1. Queen Anne Stakes or the Prince of Wales’s Stakes next, before returning to Australia for stud duties.

I see she is wearing a full body-suit whilst travelling. Love the look!

Peter Moody flew out of Melbourne last night bound for London

Didn't he do it well! Perhaps one more run before heading home to take up stallion duties.

Sands 24th June 2012 12:54 AM

Diamond Jubilee Stakes

Black Caviar prevails, just!

Sands 24th June 2012 01:02 AM

Nolen obviously not happy with his ride, easing the champ down last little bit, almost got caught by 2nd & 3rd

Betcha Nolen won't do that again, phew!

UselessBettor 24th June 2012 02:10 AM

was very interesting to see the interviews.

I don't think the ground suited her and combined with travel took a lot out of her. Mind you Nolen could have won that a lot easier, probably half a length at least.

She will need a break for a while after that win though.

rhino82 25th June 2012 03:17 PM

Job done, Caviar Clan

Sands 26th June 2012 04:04 PM

Good news, the injuries sustained by Black Caviar in the Diamond Jubilee Stakes is only soft tissue damage
So all should be well sooner than later with the champ

Sands 28th June 2012 04:57 PM

And the champ is to race again this spring, subject to full recovery from her short o/s campaign

MyHatMyCoat 1st July 2012 10:29 AM

Mixed luck for trainer Aidan O’Brien in the Irish Derby overnight. Originally had 3 of the 7 acceptors for the race - Camelot, Imperial Monarch & Astrology. However Imperial Monarch which had been shortening steadily in the betting to be the clear second-favourite behind his stablemate Camelot, was a late scratching. Still Aidan got the winner, Camelot. The trainers 7th consecutive win in the Irish Derby.

rhino82 6th July 2012 06:55 PM

So You Think won't race again, will be having fun at the stud

Sands 6th July 2012 08:40 PM

So You Think will stand for a fee of $66,000 - an Australian 1st-season sire record
Hope they treat him well

Will we see the best from Sepoy this Saturday, in the July Cup. Godolphin trainer Mahmood Al Zarooni reckons we will.

Did well considering the heavy track. Trainer Paul Messara not unhappy, already planning her next run in the Old Dart.

rhino82 16th July 2012 10:26 PM

If your horse can't handle the wet, wouldn't bother heading to the UK to race. Regardless of the season. Heavy rainfall & thunderstorms not uncommon in the summer months, from what I have been told.

Now the first filly ever to win both the Prix de L’Arc de Triomphe and the King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes.

However the 1st leg still the best according to British Horseracing Authority handicappers, who have rated Danedream's win on Saturday (King George) as 6 pounds inferior to her dominant win in last year's Group I Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.

MyHatMyCoat 26th July 2012 11:56 AM

Danedream paid $15 win on my tab

kiwiz 27th July 2012 08:10 AM

$15 on mine too :)

..planned it well..conditions to suit..ortentsia did it easily

rhino82 6th August 2012 09:24 PM

Got $8 early betting on Ortensia, pleasantly surprised considering the field looked a little below the race standard
