Perhaps 3 more starts for Frankel before beginning life as an elite stallion.

The Juddmonte International at York on August 22 looms as his next target.

Why do they all go to the outside, why not stick to the rails?

Ortensia currently sharing favouritism with Bated Breath at around 3/1

Ortensia down the track
After the race it was discovered the mare had badly spliced her right fetlock

16 horses nominated for the Caulfield & Melbourne Cups & Cox Plate have entered quarantine prior to their shipment to Australia later this month

They are:
•Afsare
•Americain
•Brigantin
•Dunaden
•Energia Elegante
•Galileo's Choice
•Gatewood
•Ibicenco
•Jakkalberry
•Mount Athos
•Prairie Star
•Quest For Peace
•Saghann
•Shahwardi
•Tac de Boistron
•Why Not

kiwiz 17th September 2012 09:33 PM

3 of those horses have been nominated for the Cox
Americain,,Afsare & Shahwardi
Surprised Shahwardi heading down-under as I don't think he has won for some time
Is stablemate of Americain

kiwiz 17th September 2012 09:55 PM

Afsare only nominated for the Cox I think
Form does look good & relevant

jimmyz 21st September 2012 09:52 AM

Afsare a bit unlucky in the Arlington Million last month where he ran 2nd. Definitely one to watch kiwiz, as he appears back in form after performing below par his previous campaign.

kiwiz 22nd September 2012 05:50 AM

$41 / $11 freely available for Afsare in the Cox Plate

kiwiz 22nd September 2012 04:15 PM

Similar odds for Americain

A little each-way won't break the bank & who knows could end up a nice windfall ;)

Dunaden recovering from a foot abscess but still likely to head down-under with this batch.

All have arrived safe & well, now at the International Horse Centre at Werribee

kiwiz 6th October 2012 06:44 AM

Brigantin & Shawardi bypassing the Caulfield Cup & targeting the Geelong Cup before the Melbourne Cup

Good trackwork since landing at Werribee

kiwiz 12th October 2012 06:21 PM

Afsare suffered an injury to his near side foreleg during exercise this week so bit of a day-by-day prospect at the moment

They obviously know what they're doing the way Shahwardi won today

jimmyz 14th October 2012 06:52 PM

Good odds, too.

grizzle 15th October 2012 10:42 PM

Shahwardi now assured of a start in the Caulfield Cup but likely to miss that race for the BIG one

Maybe next year for Afsare.

kumite 18th October 2012 03:25 PM

frankel's younger half-brother morpheus failed to flatter on debut in a maiden at nottingham yesterday
sent out 3/1 second favourite so a lot of punters got their fingers burnt

Frankel will now head to stud
His stud fee is expected to be in the region of £100,000 which make his earning capacity around £10m a year
