Hi one and all,
I would like to ask wiser heads than I if there is a computer system where upon I record;

The runners name.
Its ancestry
Be able to see it's form over its career
Be able to access its photo results scanned from the SPORTSMAN
Its video runs over its career for the particular runner

all on the same individual page and allat the push of one of them icon buttons...?

I believe that alot of the people use Excel and with this... is it possible to have one page per runner with the appropriate icon for each race history visible... ?
This would allow all the info to be infront of me instaead of running to look at hard copy results.
I hope this makes sense. When it comes to computers think of me as an American Civil war vet trying to understand laser guided missiles.

Yes, providing you have all the data in certain formats already.
I've built customised databases for forum members before.
If you want me to start from scratch and start scraping webpages and downloading videos it wouldn't be economically viable for you. But if you have various videos in a folder already named correctly, and scans in another folder already, and form already, then I could build you a semi automatic database.
The cost factor is not in building it, the cost factor is the number of hours spent on it.

I have been saving records of Sydney Metro Saturday races only since the 2014 Spring carnival. i think this the best for a new lad, to focus on this one area of racing. I have video from these meetings and Sportsman photo results.

I wish to look at this as a recreational punting money making idea I can't really afford to have a system built for me. Your offer is most appreciated and many thanks.
I would think that the requirement for a huge storage system would be required whem betting on multi venues per week so this is why I am just concentrating on Sydney Metro only for the time being.

I have been told that on excel you can have one page per horse with winning post photos for each of its runs but it's the race videos and can these be placed on such a page... ?

Save your money and just go to the Racing NSW website, you can search for a horse and see all the form and videos for races and trials. It might not be in the exact format you want but its free.

One thing I have noticed with my form study is that I don't trust myself once I have made a decision. I realize it is a turn over based profit system (?) and On the occasion I have made some awesome choices yet I have backed out at the last minute only to see them crash through for a great payout.
This doesn't diminish my enthusiasm for the sport.
It's all part of the learning experience.

Maybe God needs to know this is what I really need to do.
