I am currently getting a win strike rate of ~30% with avg. return being just over $3.

Are there any systems that I can use to have these figures return a profit?

Nothing fancy, no plan as such, this is just what I have seen using the 2KY tips over a 160 race sample.

I have tried the figures with the Retirement Staking Plan as mentioned in another thread but it comes out behind...

NO! There is no way to turn a losing system into a winning one IN THE LONG RUN with a staking plan. The only way to make it win is to either improve the strike rate or improve the average dividend so that it makes a profit at level stakes.

becareful, that's what I thought to be that case from what I have read on the forum, just wanted to put the figures out there to see...

While I do think that the level stakes profit seems to be necessary, I would certainly be interested to see any other views...?

Bhagwan, I would be interested to see how a profit is returned as I can't find a way...

drayzen, becareful is 100% right.

My advice would be to go back through every bet and record ALL the details including everything to do with horse form etc and look for areas where it strikes the best.

Use an excel spreadsheet and if you need more details on any runner try the horse search option at ozeform.com.
You may be able to find eliminating factors which improve your strike rate.
This can be extremely time consuming, but once it's done; will definately improve your end result with out chasing losses.

STAKING PLAN as promised.
Try this .
1-1-2-2-3-3-4-4-5-5-6-6-7-7-8-8-9-9-10 ect.

You only need half the odds required at level stakes to break even .
In spite of what my "hard rocking Amigoes' may beleive about all staking plans must be able to show a profif at level stakes , to be able to work.

If one strikes a winner at $3.90 or less go back one place.

If a winner at $4.00-5.90
go back 2 places.

If a winner at $6.00+
go back 3 places.

E.g.
1-1-2-2-3-3-4-4-5.
Winner struck at 5/1 or $6.00
profit $5.00 or 20% POT

Level stakes would show a -$3.00 or -12% POT loss.

That`s a 32 point difference that cannot be ignored.

Bank should be $420
to allow for 40 outs in a row.
You must expect a run of 20 outs in a row with a 30% strike rate, this may happen say 3-4 times a year, so its best be prepared for it than the nieve chap who is not.

Check it out on your past results first & let us know what it reveals.

I forgot to mention that if your outlay at any time, equals the odds paid on a given winner ,you start from the beginning again,
because you will have either broken even at this point or be in profit.

Just because a staking plan shows a profit with a single example when level stakes makes a loss does not prove anything! If you have a sequence of 20 bets that all lose then with the staking plan you have lost 110 units but with level stakes you are only down 20. Thats a 90 point difference that should not be ignored!!!

Mathematically your long run profit or loss (expressed as percentage of turnover) will be the same regardless of whether you use staking plan or level stakes. Short term they may work but sooner or later you will hit a run of outs that will break the bank.

The reason so many people are fooled by them is that they generally hide the losses so instead of losing a small amount each day you win a small amount most days but when you have a loss it is huge.

I am not canning your ideas at all. You have come up with some great ideas and some fun systems too. I enjoy reading your postings. It is only your staking plan I disagree with.

But then plenty disagree with my ideas here too.
