Default How do you back a First Up Winner?

I know I put up a lot of stuff on here and hopefully it's more beneficial than an annoyance in most cases, BUT don't hold that against me !!!!! SO .....

..... How does one back a first up winner ?????

Trackwork and trials - where's the info, especially private training tracks?
First up record?
Just simply back a horse first up over 1400 that up in the top half of the weights?

It's easy to mount an argument for the fitness of a horse that's had a few runs back, but how do we figure out when a horse is ready to fire first up?

Or is this mission impossible from the couch at home?
