Betting System
" Keep It Simple"

From a read of last week's Sportsman you must wonder why anyone works. Surely everyone should be on permanent holidays courtesy of all the winning betting systems and betting tips.

Grandstand Publishing market their "Keep It Simple" selections.
They claim that "3% of a $1,000 bank averaged around $800 a week in wages." Note the lifestyle marketing - the selections returned you "wages" and all you needed was $1,000. Now, as if that is not enough they also offer you "Bonus Eight Is Enough" with the claim "outlay $100 profit $122,300."

If anyone believed they could really turn $100 outlay into $122,300 do you really think it would be sold, let alone given away as a bonus? Now that's what we call keeping it simple.

What about learning "How To Make $100 Per Day + More. Tax Free!"
That's what Winform Publishing has been heavily marketing for some time. It is claimed that "Garry Robinson, when writing for Turf Monthly, actually roadtested his original $100 per day plan at his local TAB every day for three months without experiencing a losing day."

Is this a target betting approach? Target betting can work if the selections win at level stakes, but if the selections do not win at level stakes no amount of staking manipulation will return a long term profit.

It is possible to win $100 a day for three months without experiencing a losing day. Even on selections that do not return a profit at level stakes. You simply target a profit of $100 for each day and increase your bet size after every losing bet until you hit a winner and make your $100 profit for the day. But we wouldn't recommend doing that. Because one day you will be wiped out. It is even possible you could be wiped out on your first day.

Why make $100 per day when you can "Make $640 on Saturday!!!"
Tim's Race Wizard says you can "Make money week in and week out - from home, TAB or track from this amazing, innovative and proven system" and invites you to contact a South Perth PO Box.

How did Tim's Race Wizard come up with $640? Why $640? This just seems ridiculous? Was it just plucked from thin air because it sounded like a good amount for a heading? We've all heard of Merlin the Wizard from the legend of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table and Camelot, but Tim's Race Wizard?

Sorry. It just does not sound right. Nor does "Make money week in and week out ". Betting on horses is just not like that.
