Many astute punters use a simple horse racing betting system to back plenty of winners at excellent odds, as well as successfully betting trifectas, first fours, doubles etc. They simply note the key runs of a few select horses each week and black book them. Then betting smart, they follow them.

Rosehill - Rosehill Guineas Day

Jessicabeel:
This lightly raced John O'Shea trained 4YO mare missed the start by five lengths and finished third, just over a length from the winner Messenger, over 1900 metres. Now with three runs in this campaign Jessicabeel will be fit and primed to win next start.

Star Of Octagonal:
Having only his fourth start, this 3YO gelding jumped away awkwardly. Then rounding the home turn Star Of Octagonal bumped into Hus Der Lieften when Star Of Octagonal was held up for a run. Despite not having much luck in running over the 1200 metres, Star Of Ovtagonal finished third and is worth following.

Caulfield

About Ready:
Despite being agitated before the race punters still sent this mare out as the $1.75 favourite in a field of six mares over 1200 metres at Caulfield. About Ready then raced three wide without cover for most of the race.and then laid in under pressure in the straight. She finished second, just over a length from the winner, Avionics. Forget that About Ready ever went around, but don't take silly odds about her next start.
