Make Money Betting Horses

Many astute punters use a simple horse racing betting system to back plenty of winners at excellent odds, as well as successfully betting trifectas, first fours, doubles etc. They simply note the key runs of a few select horses each week and black book them. Then betting smart, they follow them.

Each week we will give some runs worth noting by horses from Saturday's racing. Keep a record of the horses, bet smart and you too could back some big winners.

Here are the latest runners to be added to our Horse Watch list.

Rosehill

Hoystar:
This John Hawkes trained 3YO colt returned from a spell and had a soft win in Class 3 company against the older horses, starting at the prohibitive odds of $1.30. Hoystar could be a big Group winner in the making. Time will tell.

Moonee Valley - Lightning Stakes Day

Magnus:
We liked the first up run of Peter Moody's classy 4YO horse in the Lightning Stakes. While no match for Lee Freedman's super star 5YO mare, Miss Andretti, who won by 1.5 lengths, Magnus did finish second a length ahead of the third runner. Magnus has a top record - three wins and five seconds from just 11 starts.

Doomben

Answer Me:
She looks like a mare on the way up, impressively winning in Mares Class 6 company. That was her fourth win from five starts.

Morphettville

Royal Singer:
In a great training feat David Hayes got this 3YO filly to win second up jumping in distance from 1000 metres to 1600 metres, 24 days after her first up run. In addition, she won in 3YO Open company compared to a first up win in a restricted 3YO Fillies Class 1. It takes a versatile horse to be able to achieve this. Royal Singer certainly deserves close attention in future. She could be well above average.
