Make Money Betting Horses

Many astute punters use a simple horse racing betting system to back plenty of winners at excellent odds, as well as successfully betting trifectas, first fours, doubles etc. They simply note the key runs of a few select horses each week and black book them. Then betting smart, they follow them.

Each week we will give some runs worth noting by horses from Saturday's racing. Keep a record of the horses, bet smart and you too could back some big winners.

Here are the latest runners to be added to our Horse Watch list.

Rosehill

Our Apache:
Bob Milligan's smart 5YO gelding was first past the post in the Listed 1400 metres handicap, but lost on protest. After five runs this time in Our Apache is race fit and ready to make amends. He has the excellent strike rate of six wins and six placings from 15 starts.


Sandown Hillside

Forest Spy:
Danny O'Brien has a galloper here who could win some feature races. The 4YO gelding carried top weight of 56.5kg. and was too strong in the 1400 metres Open. He has the outstanding record of seven wins from 12 starts.


Eagle Farm

Strawberry Malt:
This 3YO filly was an impressive 3YO Class 6 winner from barrier 11 in the field of 12. She has won both starts this time in and has a career record of three wins and two seconds from six starts.

Shysu:
Returning from a let up of just over two months, this 5YO mare won a fillies and mares listed race effortlessly by three lengths. She started at the great odds of $7.00. It pays to follow winners. She now has six wins and seven seconds from just 16 starts.


Cheltenham

Royal Ida:
Yet another proven winner, Michael O'Leary's 5YO gelding followed a first up second in Listed company by by winning in Listed company at Cheltenham. In the field of 10 the $6.00 offered by the bookies was snapped up. Royal Ida was sent out second favourite at $4.60 to the proven Adelaide Group horse, Squillani, who finished second. Royal Ida's win was all the more impressive as the race was run under Weight for Age conditions. So Royal Ida carried equal top weight of 58kg. This outstanding performer now has seven wins and three seconds from just 11 starts.
