Rosehill

Madbigold:
This David Hayes trained 5YO gelding is a big watch. First up at Rosehill over 1100 metres it was sent out at a starting price of $20.00. In the straight Madibagold was held up for a run and close to the finishing line its jockey Cameron Reith had to stop riding. Madbigold finished fourth in the field of 11.

Caulfield

The Big Steel:
This 4YO gelding had absolutely no luck at Caulfield. The gelding was badly hampered at the 200, and then in the concluding stages of the race Steven King had to stop riding it. Big Steel, which started at $8.50, finished fifth of 11, beaten only 1.5 lengths by De Arias.

Impressive Eagle:
This 5YO mare trained by Danny O'Brien was sent out the $3.30 favourite. However she never got a run in the straight and went to the finishing line hard held. She finished tenth of 12. Forget she ever went around.
