Make Money Betting Horses

Many astute punters use a simple horse racing betting system to back plenty of winners at excellent odds, as well as successfully betting trifectas, first fours, doubles etc. They simply note the key runs of a few select horses each week and black book them. Then betting smart, they follow them.

Each week we will give some runs worth noting by horses from Saturday's racing. Keep a record of the horses, bet smart and you too could back some big winners.

Here are the latest runners to be added to our Horse Watch list.

Rosehill

Prince Of Truth:
What an impressive win by this Gai Waterhouse trained 3YO gelding. From eighth at the 400, he rounded up the field with ease and won by three lengths like an odds on chance. Talk about the $6.00 offered on track by the bookmakers being generous! This gelding could be going places. We wrote him up last week and suggested he could be aimed for races like the Group 1 Queensland Derby.

Moonee Valley

General Eisenhower:
Is this 2YO colt a potential star? That's the question everyone is now asking. Brought to Moonee Valley by Caulfield trainer Mick Price after finishing second in a 2YO Maiden 13 days earlier in his first race, punters didn't give General Eisenhower much of a chance. He started at $13.00 and paid over $17.00 on the tote. After settling on the speed, General Eisenhower bolted away in the straight to win by six lengths over 1523 metres in pretty smart time.

Gold Coast

Daunting Lad:
Our Queensland video analyst was impressed by the run of this 5YO gelding in the Listed Prime Minister's Cup over 1300 metres. Third up from a spell Daunting Lad was sent out at $15.00 and fought on strongly to finish a close second to The Jackal. This honest gelding has eight wins and seven seconds from 28 starts.
