Make Money Betting Horses

Many astute punters use a simple horse racing betting system to back plenty of winners at excellent odds, as well as successfully betting trifectas, first fours, doubles etc. They simply note the key runs of a few select horses each week and black book them. Then betting smart, they follow them.

Each week we will give some runs worth noting by horses from Saturday's racing. Keep a record of the horses, bet smart and you too could back some big winners.

Here are the latest runners to be added to our Horse Watch list.

Rosehill

Universal Queen:
In March this year Universal Queen won the Group 3 2YO Fillies Sweet Embrace Stakes at Randwick. Having her first run in four months, this smart Bede Murray trained 3YO filly ran a strong race. On a very Heavy track she was headed on the line by the $71.00 bolter Lightning Glance. She should benefit from the run and will be fitter next start.

Real Strike:
This 5YO gelding was the subject of a betting plunge from $6.00 to start at $3.90. However, Real Strike finished second to With A Chance. Real Strike has had four runs in this campaign and is at peak fitness. Be on the alert for his backers aiming to recover their win bets on him next start.

Caulfield

Red Dazzler:
All the talk about the Group 3 Weight for Age Bletchingly Stakes has been the return of Minson, who recorded his sixth straight win. Lost in the hype was the return of Mick Price trained 4YO horse, Red Dazzler. He finished second by only one length to Minson. Last time in Red Dazzler ran a huge race in the Group 1 Weight for Age Futurity Stakes at Caulfield. Starting at $17.00, he finished second, beaten a head by Fields Of Omagh, the David Hayes trained Cox Plate winner. Don't be surprised if this campaign Red Dazzler wins a big race at generous odds.

Doomben

Starlactic:
This tough, classy 5YO gelding never gives in. On Saturday in a Quality Handicap he was far too good. Starlactic has the outstanding record of 11 wins and five placings from 20 starts.

Cheltenham

Vicello:
At his first campaign as a 2YO Vicello had two starts and was beaten by 8.9 lengths and five lengths. Returning after nearly five months this Vicello won a 2YO Open at Cheltenham on July 22 and followed that up with a comfortable win last Saturday. It could pay to follow this 3YO gelding, who looks to have learnt what racing is all about.
