Make Money Betting Horses

Many astute punters use a simple horse racing betting system to back plenty of winners at excellent odds, as well as successfully betting trifectas, first fours, doubles etc. They simply note the key runs of a few select horses each week and black book them. Then betting smart, they follow them.

Each week we will give some runs worth noting by horses from Saturday's racing. Keep a record of the horses, bet smart and you too could back some big winners.

Here are the latest runners to be added to our Horse Watch list.

Caulfield

Good Red:
This 5YO gelding had no luck at Caulfield. Rounding the home turn, Good Red was held up when unable to obtain a clear run. Then after passing the 100m, Good Red when making ground, had to shift out to obtain a run on the outside of Gorky Park which won the race. Good Red, the $3.30 favourite, was a certainty beaten.

Fastest Dash:
Second up from a break of eight weeks, Steve Richards' 3YO filly also had no luck at Caulfield. Fastest Dash was unable to obtain a clear run approaching and rounding the home turn and also held up in the early part of the straight. Then approaching the 200 metres Fastest Dash then had to shift abruptly to obtain a run. Fastest Dash, which started at $7.00, finished fourth, about two lengths behind the winner, Beaming.

Doomben

Felixtrinidad:
Our Brisbane video analyst liked the first up run of this 4YO gelding. Sent out at big double figure odds in the big field of 17, despite not having the best of luck, Felixtrinidad made up good ground to finish third behind Moglich. Felixtrinidad has an excellent strike rate - six wins and three seconds from just 17 starts.
