Many astute punters use a simple horse racing betting system to back plenty of winners at excellent odds, as well as successfully betting trifectas, first fours, doubles etc. They simply note the key runs of a few select horses each week and black book them. Then betting smart, they follow them.

Having her second race start, and sent out at big double figure odds, this Guy Walter trained filly ran a nice second behind Shared Reflections in the 2YO fillies Group 3 Embrace Stakes. Look for more improvement from Streama next start.

This 2YO filly trained by Peter Snowden started at $14.00 and ran an impressive third, beaten a half length by Triple Asset in the 2YO fillies Group 3 Thoroughbred Breeders Stakes. This was Altar's first race start. Watch out for her next start.

River Lad:
Sent out the $2.20 favourite River Lad finished a half length second to Bullet Proof in Class 6 company over 1200 metres. This 3YO gelding now has four wins and two seconds from just eight races. With four runs in from a spell River Lad will be at peak fitness next start.
