Make Money Betting Horses

Many astute punters use a simple horse racing betting system to back plenty of winners at excellent odds, as well as successfully betting trifectas, first fours, doubles etc. They simply note the key runs of a few select horses each week and black book them. Then betting smart, they follow them.

Each week we will give some runs worth noting by horses from Saturday's racing. Keep a record of the horses, bet smart and you too could back some big winners.

Here are the latest horses to be added to our Horse Watch list.

Moonee Valley - William Reid Stakes Day

Salinas:
Second up this Peter Moody trained 3YO filly didn't have the best of luck. At the 600 she had to search for a run, then at the 500 she was steadied off heels. Then inside the 400 Salinas was badly held up for a run. Salinas finished sixth, 3.5 lengths behind the winner, Speedy Natalie. Don't be surprised if Salinas, who has three wins from six races, comes out and wins at good odds, as she started at $14.00 on Saturday.

Cosmocrat:
This 3YO Mick Price trained gelding came into the Alister Clark Stakes with a perfect record of two wins from as many starts. With Damien Oliver aboard, he was sent out at $10.00 in the Alister Clark. He finished sixth, 3.5 lengths from the $3.80 favourite, Linton. Ignore the result, as Cosmocrat was wide without cover throughout the race.

Honour The Force:
This promising Eric Musgrove trained 5YO gelding was only having his thirteenth race start. He came into the race with some good country form, including a win at Benalla three weeks earlier. Despite that he started at the long odds of $21.00. Things went wrong right from the start, with the gelding dislodging his jockey, Steven King, on entering the track. Honour The Force was quickly captured after running a short distance, vet inspected and passed fit to run. In the race Honour The Force was badly held up from the 400 to the 200. As a result the gelding only finished sixth, just under three lengths from the winner, Kaavert. If Honour The Force's next race is in the city you could get some juicy value odds. .
