Make Money Betting Horses

Many astute punters use a simple horse racing betting system to back plenty of winners at excellent odds, as well as successfully betting trifectas, first fours, doubles etc. They simply note the key runs of a few select horses each week and black book them. Then betting smart, they follow them.

Each week we will give some runs worth noting by horses from Saturday's racing. Keep a record of the horses, bet smart and you too could back some big winners.

Here are the latest runners to be added to our Horse Watch list.

Rosehill

Gonski:
The Tim Martin trained 3YO was solidly backed, but didn't have the best of luck and finished second to Jet Spur, but more than four lengths ahead of the next runner. Be on the look out. We expect the Tim Martin stable will soon be putting the cash on Gonski.

Coolroom Candidate:
This consistent 4YO mare was the best of good things beaten and finished a very unlucky second to Freeroller by a half neck. Coolroom Candidate has four wins and six seconds from 14 starts.

Mummify:
The Lee Freedman trained 2003 Caulfield Cup winner is on track for the big Cup races this Spring. Second up he finished a pleasing, close up fourth in Group 2 Weight for Age company over 1900 metres after being held up early in the straight.

Studebaker:
Starting at big odds both times this campaign, this John Hawkes' trained 6YO gelding has put in big runs. On Saturday he finished second by a neck to the $1.80 favourite Lotteria. Now after two runs in Studebaker is fit and ready to win.

Caulfield

Super Kid:
This 6YO horse was very competitive against the best in Group 1 company at Sha Tin. His first run in Group 1 company here, after a spell of four months, was outstanding. He made up plenty of ground to finish second to Barely A Moment.
