Pom Pom Horse Racing Betting System

"This system relies on the little-known fact that some trainers indicate when their horse is ready to win, or which horse is the best horse in the stable, by adding a pom pom to the jockey's uniform.

The rules of the system are as follows:

1. Only Saturday and Public holiday race in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane or Adeleide.

2. The selection must be the only horse in the race to carry a pom pom.

3. The selection must have been placed at at least once of its past three runs.

4. The selection must have had at least three starts.

5. The selection must be drawn no wider than barrier 11.

6. Each selection is to be backed each way.

Basically, it's possible to turn just about anything, no matter how stupid, into a "winning" racing system. Look hard enough at all the pom pom runners' past results and I can guarantee you will be able to introduce elimination rules that keep the winners and get rid of the losers.

Then you can claim that the pom pom is the trainers' secret winning signal! But seriously, is the pom pom the significant factor? Of course not. When you have a long list of past results it doesn't take a genius to introduce rules, however ridiculous, to eliminate the past losers and keep the past winners.
