It seems that some of our recent criticism of TAB Limited's promotion of their new bet "Spinner" has hit home.

On their home page they have changed the statistically incorrect, "Winning with Spinner is as easy as winning with Two-up - you always have a one in three chance" to:

"Spinner, the new way to have a bet on the horses, trots or dogs, commenced 7 April. Winning with Spinner is as easy as winning at Two-up."

But that does not change the main point of our article.
Spinner is a very poor value bet and should be left alone.

You Need Top Odds

It is just about impossible to get a high enough strike rate backing short priced tote favourites and the poor value tote horses to make up for the big unders on the tote.

If you regularly get poor odds you must lose.
