Distant Melody $49.90 Winner!

Saturday, 24 November, 2007

We rated 13 races for three winners on top and a total of eight winners in the top four.

There were two value winners on top. At Sandown Cocinero won at $4.20 TF (best tote $4.40) and at Morphettville Soloist won at $5.00 TF (best tote was only $4.20.)

It was not a day for much value on offer in the top four. Third rated winner Like It Is, $7.80 tote, was some value in the 10 horse field at Sandown. Likewise Strategic Answer, $7.00 tote, offered some value winning at Morphettville in the small field of eight.

There were a few trifectas in the top three and at Morphettville R4 the first four which paid $261.70 on SuperTab was in the top four.

Zip Baby Zip $14.20 winner

On Sandown Cup Day we rated 13 races for two great value winners on top and a total of nine winners in the top four.

The value winners on top at Sandown were Zip Baby Zip, $14.20 tote and Just Curious, $5.00. In Zip Baby Zip's race the trifecta which paid up to $824 was found with the next two rated horses!

Second rated Pleasantsundaygirl, $8.00, was an excellent value winner for us at Sandown.

Other winners from the top four which offered value at Sandown were third rated Gibralter Campion, $8.60 in a field of 10 and fourth rated Gotta Have Heart, $11.00 in a field of 11. Distant Melody $49.90 winner!!

Top selection Spectacular Saint, won at Flemington starting at $7.50. That was a good winner for members who look for value only from the top selections.

But the highlight must be fourth rated Distant Melody $49.90 tote winning at Flemington. How often do 99% of punters give a winner at $50.00 a serious show of winning?

Members who have a small wager on our fifth or sixth rated runners at $20.00 or better had a few dollars on Montechoro, which won the last at Flemington at $22.30 tote.

Overall for the day we rated 12 races for two winners on top and five winners in the top four which we must say was a pretty good result considering horses like Tears I Cry, $101.00 and Hidden Strings, $61.00, were fluke winners at Flemington.

Please note:
We also provide guidelines to new members on using our betting information for first fours and trifecta betting.

In our newsletters here we have at times indicated how some first fours and trifectas could have been obtained. However on racedays some judgement and skill are needed for this.

For example the same betting method will not work each race, such as boxing selections, or taking the top horse as a standout to win. Some races will also need to be avoided because the odds are not there.

Even with good information playing trifectas and first fours is not a licence to print money. Intelligent use of the information and a lot of discipline is required.

While there can be substantial collects for relatively small outlays there can also be long runs of outs with various betting methods used.
