February's Winning Horse Racing Wagers

Saturday, 3 February, 2007

Gold Specials - Sydney and Melbourne
There was just one bet. Urban Spirit, a 17 units' wager, was unplaced at Moonee Valley at the big odds of $17.00.

Top Rated Specials - Brisbane and Adelaide
At Morphettville our only bet won. It was Racer's Run, 25 units, which won starting at $4.00, the minimum odds we needed. Profit 75 units. As this was an Adelaide wager, it was not surprising that better odds were available elsewhere such as tote odds up to $4.50. At Doomben, Go Sequalo, 25 units, finished second by a half neck at $4.00 top fluctuation, the odds we needed.

Gold Specials - Sydney and Melbourne
With any luck it could have been a nice winning day. There was one wager at Rosehill. Calidan, 25 units, $5.50, finished second by a head. While at Moonee Valley, our one bet, Fearless Waters, 13 units, $12.00, finished a close third but should have won the race. It successfully protested against the bad interference caused by the horse that finished second.

Top Rated Specials - Brisbane and Adelaide
Again not much luck. At Eagle Farm Go Sequalo, 38 units, finished second by a neck at $3.50 and Mitanni, 29 units, $3.60, was the best of good things beaten. It had absolutely no luck in the straight and when it finally managed to get clear was finishing all over the top of the winner. At Cheltenham Vicello, 33 units, $4.40, finished fourth and Desert Dane, 26 units, $4.00, was unplaced.

Gold Specials - Sydney and Melbourne
There were two bets at Rosehill. How Brave, 25 units, $4.00, finished third. Typhoon Zed, 28 units, was plunged from $12.00 to start at $7.50, but was unplaced. At Caulfield we had one Gold Special, Chinamora, 11 units, was unplaced at $18.00 in the Blue Diamond Stakes raffle. It had just about as good form as anything coming into that race, having been very unlucky at a couple of previous starts.

Top Rated Specials - Brisbane and Adelaide
Just one bet for the day and a nice win. At Cheltenham Coradian, $5.00, 22 units, was an excellent winner and gave us a profit of 88 units. $5.70 was available on the tote.

Please note:
We provide guidelines to new members on using our betting information for first fours and trifecta betting.

In our newsletters here we have at times indicated how some first fours and trifectas could have been obtained. However on racedays some judgement and skill are needed for this.

For example the same betting method will not work each race, such as boxing selections, or taking the top horse as a standout to win. Some races will also need to be avoided because the odds are not there.

Even with good information playing trifectas and first fours is not a licence to print money. Intelligent use of the information and a lot of discipline is required.

While there can be substantial collects for relatively small outlays there can also be long runs of outs with various betting methods used.
