Saturday, 19 January, 2013
This was our first Saturday back after our End of Year/New Year break and we kicked off 2013 with a big bang!

We rated 14 races from Rosehill, Flemington and Eagle Farm for 9 Top 4 Winners including some fantastic value. Plus our brilliant tipster, Lucky Lil had another great day!

Here are Top Four winners with bookmaker or tote odds of $4.00 or better available.

Rosehill
Campania $16.90
Frozen Rope $4.60

Eagle Farm
Gold Shears $16.40
Tukiyo $15.00

Write Cheek $7.00

Flemington
Red Inca $7.00
Lord Of Brazil $6.00

Lucky Lil's Tips
Lucky Lil is not looking for horses at short odds and whenever a horse is below $4.00 it is below the minimum odds Lucky Lil would take.

Lucky Lil had a sensational day. From just 3 selections Lucky Lil tipped 2 big winners, Tukiyo, $15.00, at Eagle Farm and Lord Of Brazil, $6.00, at Flemington. Lucky Lil's Lay of the Day was Dalton which started at the prohibitively short odds of $1.30 at Eagle Farm. Unfortunately for us it won, but no real damage should have been done laying a horse at skinny odds.

Please note:
We also provide guidelines to new members on using our betting information for first fours and trifecta betting.

In our newsletters here we have at times indicated how some first fours and trifectas could have been obtained. However on racedays some judgement and skill are needed for this.

For example the same betting method will not work each race, such as boxing selections, or taking the top horse as a standout to win. Some races will also need to be avoided because the odds are not there.

Even with good information playing trifectas and first fours is not a licence to print money. Intelligent use of the information and a lot of discipline is required.

While there can be substantial collects for relatively small outlays there can also be long runs of outs with various betting methods used.
