Betting Value Tips

Horses who are unlucky can often catch everyone by surprise and win or place at one of their next few starts at bolter's odds. That is just what you want for quinellas, trifectas and first four.

Please note:
There is no one single factor which guarantees winning selections. This information can be useful when taken into account with other form factors.

Here are some of the unlucky horses from Saturday, February 15.

Flemington:
Thurman - badly held up the entire straight, shuffled back
Karamazou - well back held up at the 300
Walk On Air - wide run

Rosehill:
Regal County - missed the start, well back seven wide in the straight
Vital Agreement - badly held up the entire straight
Mr. Royston - worked hard early, 57.5kg.
Lady Cay - well back last in the straight, went 12 wide to get a run

Eagle Farm:
I'm In Heaven - well back, muddling pace
Forging's Lad - badly held up and inconvenienced in the straight
Victory Grove - held up early in the straight
Trista Lad - badly held up and checked in the straight
Typify - searched for a run in the straight
Smart Chariot - shuffled back home turn
Stormy Lodge - badly held up in the straight, good thing beaten
Penola - missed the start, worked hard, held up and checked in the straight
Sir Bisc - held up early in the straight
Riva Rebel - barrier 15, very wide run, no luck

Morphettville:
Tag Jeur - held up in the straight
Avanella - wide run, raced greenly in the straight
Tag Jeur - held up in the straight
Dama De Noche - held up early in the straight
Terminus Prince - well back badly held up in the straight, eased down

You Need Top Odds

It is just about impossible to get a high enough strike rate backing short priced tote favourites and the poor value tote horses to make up for the big unders on the tote.

If you regularly get poor odds you must lose.

Short priced tote favourites
are losing bets.
