Great $13.00 Winners on Top

Saturday, 1 March, 2008

We rated 19 races at Caulfield, Eagle Farm and Morphettville. There were three good winners on top, nine winners in the top two and 12 winners in the top four. Not surprisngly the ratings for the four races rated at Randwick didn't particularly hold up as we rated the races for a Heavy/Slow track. With fine weather the track dried out to a Dead 3.

Winners which offered some value, with bookmaker/tote odds available were:

Top rated winners Niconero, $6.50 in the main race at Caulfield, the Group 1 Futurity Stakes, and Changing Eyes, $5.30 and Zaazorro, $4.40, both at Morphettville.

Second rated winners at Caulfield, Bel Mer, $5.00 and at Eagle Farm, Atapi, $6.30, in a field of ten and Borsha's Mark, $5.50 offered some value.

Third rated winners, About Face, $10.00, in a field of 10 at Caulfield, and Exalted Ego, $13.00, at Morphettville, also offered value at those odds.

Members who looked for rated horses at large odds may have had a few dollars on Cascade Now which won at Caulfield with tote odds of $47.90 available.

There were a couple of excellent box four trifectas. R6 at Morphettville paid $712.60 on SuperTab while R6 at Eagle Farm paid $395.90 on SuperTab.

Two $13.00 winners on top!

We rated 27 races. There were five winners on top, nine winners in the top two and 12 winners in the top three. There were some odd results which affected the top three and four strike rate.

Winners which offered some value, with bookmaker/tote odds available were:

Top rated winners: The highlights were Tenant's Tiara with $13.00 bookmaker odds and $11.70 tote odds available winning at Rosehill and Dirty, also with $13.00 bookmaker odds and $10.80 tote odds available winning at Doomben.

There was not much value about with the other winners.

Members who looked for rated horses at large odds may have had a few dollars on Lombardy which won at Doomben with bookie odds of $21.00 available and Babijczuk which won at Cheltenham with tote odds of $20.60 available.

Box four first fours were R1 at Rosehill, which paid $653.80 on SuperTab and R2 at Flemington which paid $197.90 on SuperTab.

Box five first fours were R3 at Rosehill, which paid $1,705.40 on SuperTab and R8 at Cheltenham which paid $1,464.40 on SuperTab.

A public holiday Easter long weekend off.

Saturday, 29 March, 2008

We rated 26 races. There were seven winners on top, nine winners in the top two and 12 winners in the top three. Overall it was quite a disappointing day.

Winners which offered some value, with bookmaker/tote odds available were:

Top rated winners: Three of the seven winners offered some value. They were Get Set, $4.60 and First Militia, $3.90, both at Moonee Valley and Pravana $4.00, at Randwick. As so often happens small margins can make all the difference. Top selection Silky Smooth, $12.00 was run down on the line at Moonee Valley, while top selections Purple Chocolate, $6.00 and Tramuntana, $5.00 also finished close seconds.

Third rated winners, Racer's Run, $13.40, at Morphettville, in just a field of nine, and Litter, $11.40 at Randwick, also offered some value.

Box four first fours were R2 at Moonee Valley, which paid $474.30 on SuperTab and R3 at Morphettville which paid $454.60 on SuperTab.

Please note:
We also provide guidelines to new members on using our betting information for first fours and trifecta betting.

In our newsletters here we have at times indicated how some first fours and trifectas could have been obtained. However on racedays some judgement and skill are needed for this.

For example the same betting method will not work each race, such as boxing selections, or taking the top horse as a standout to win. Some races will also need to be avoided because the odds are not there.

Even with good information playing trifectas and first fours is not a licence to print money. Intelligent use of the information and a lot of discipline is required.

While there can be substantial collects for relatively small outlays there can also be long runs of outs with various betting methods used.
