Mr Nappy $7.50 at Doomben (R5+)

Rosehill R8 $1,364.20 first 4 (top 5.)

Saturday, 20 March, 2010
We rated 22 races for 15 Top Four winners. There were some good value winners and some great first fours on a tough day of racing.

Here are Top Four winners with bookmaker or tote odds of $4.00 or better available. If the horse won after R4 we'll indicate with R5+, otherwise the horse won in the first four races of the day:

Fanjura $13.70 at Caulfield (R5+)
Citiwyse $12.00 at Eagle Farm (R5+)
Verballed $11.20 at Rosehill
Elumino $8.50 at Caulfield

Longshots
Members searching the ratings for longshots may have had a few dollars on Alverta $20.00 which won R7 at Rosehill.

First Fours & Trifectas:
On another tough day of racing we snared some great top 5 first fours. With one dollar units it costs $120 to take one. However with flexi betting you can substantially reduce your outlay. For example a $12 wager will give you one tenth of the dividend as yourcollect.

Here are some of the winning collects possible from the ratings.
Eagle Farm R5 $5,795.50 first 4 (top 5.)
Caulfield R5 $2,845.10 first 4 (top 5.)
Eagle Farm R5 $258.30 trifecta (top 4.)
Roshill R1 $176.00 first 4 (top 4.)

Saturday, 13 March, 2010
We rated 24 races for 13 Top Four winners and a few excellent value winners. It was a tough day of racing. In many races the top four had significantly less than a 50% chance of finding the winner. That it's not much different to only tipping 2 numbers from 6 on the throw of a dice, where you have less than a 50% chance of success.

Here are Top Four winners with bookmaker or tote odds of $4.00 or better available. If the horse won after R4 we'll indicate with R5+, otherwise the horse won in the first four races of the day:

Rock Classic $18.00 at Flemington (R5+)
Tripitz $11.40 at Doomben
Elmore $7.00 at Flemington
In A Bind $7.00 at Doomben (R5+)
The Embassy $5.00 at Randwick
Stillme $4.50 at Flemington (R5+)
Jazz Heart $4.20 at Doomben

Longshots
Members searching the ratings for longshots may have had a few dollars on Rothera $21.00, which won R5 at Doomben.

First Fours, Trifectas etc.
Here are some possible collects on a tough day.
Flemington R4 $2,167.40 first 4 (top 6.)
Randwick R1 $376.50 first 4 (top 4.)
Flemington R7 $286.30 first 4 (top 4.)

Please note:
We also provide guidelines to new members on using our betting information for first fours and trifecta betting.

In our newsletters here we have at times indicated how some first fours and trifectas could have been obtained. However on racedays some judgement and skill are needed for this.

For example the same betting method will not work each race, such as boxing selections, or taking the top horse as a standout to win. Some races will also need to be avoided because the odds are not there.

Even with good information playing trifectas and first fours is not a licence to print money. Intelligent use of the information and a lot of discipline is required.

While there can be substantial collects for relatively small outlays there can also be long runs of outs with various betting methods used.
