Big Winners for Value Punters

Saturday, 25 April
As usual we left the Anzac Day public holiday racing alone.

Saturday, 18 April, 2009

We rated 12 races. While there were no winners on top there was plenty of value for value punters from the three second rated winners and two third rated winners as well as a very easy to get huge trifecta in the Doncaster Handicap.

Here are value winners with bookmaker/tote odds available:

Second rated winners:
Vision And Power $12.50 Doncaster Handicap winner at Randwick.
Pit Lane $7.00 at Eagle Farm.

Third rated winners:
Purple $16.00 bet with the bookies at Randwick in the race straight after the Doncaster Handicap. Not a bad double!
Bella's Bro $10.00 at Morphettville.

Trifectas and first fours:
The highlight has to be in the R7 at Randwick, the Doncaster Handicap:
Randwick R7 $2,188.40 trifecta (top 6, with the second rated horse winning.)
The ratings gave a leg in to a number of other winning exotics such as:
Eagle Farm R5 $466.80 trifecta (top 5.)

Saturday, 11 April, 2009
As usual we left the Easter holiday weekend alone.

Saturday, 4 April, 2009

We rated 22 races. It was a tough day for the ratings, with only two winners on top and 12 winners in the top four. Those sorts of things can happen when rating the wide open Rosehill Carnival racing.

Here are value winners with bookmaker/tote odds available:

Third rated winners:
Mount Verde $14.00 at Rosehill.
Purple $9.50 at Rosehill.
Neroli $8.50 at Rosehill.

Fourth rated winners:
Lars Boy $9.60 at Morphettville in a field of 9.

Longshots:
Some members using the ratings may have had a few dollars on Fitoussi, $21.10, which won Caulfield R5.

Trifectas and first fours:
Here are the best found from the ratings.
Caulfield R5 $6,091.90 first four (top 6, using the top rated horse as a banker.)
Caulfield R5 $1,440.60 trifecta (top 6.)

Please note:
We also provide guidelines to new members on using our betting information for first fours and trifecta betting.

In our newsletters here we have at times indicated how some first fours and trifectas could have been obtained. However on racedays some judgement and skill are needed for this.

For example the same betting method will not work each race, such as boxing selections, or taking the top horse as a standout to win. Some races will also need to be avoided because the odds are not there.

Even with good information playing trifectas and first fours is not a licence to print money. Intelligent use of the information and a lot of discipline is required.

While there can be substantial collects for relatively small outlays there can also be long runs of outs with various betting methods used.
