Lucky Lil's tips had another unlucky day with only a few short priced winners, however, there was a good leg in with Nozomi, $41.00 SP, placing at Flemington.

Lucky Lil's tips had a very good day. Excellent winners were Hijack Hussy, $12.00, Mahara $6.00 and Grand Marshal $4.40. In addition the 2 horses given in R6 at Flemington ran the quinella which paid $29.60.

Members who go wide with the ratings may have had a few dollars on I'm Imposing, $22.20 winner of R6 at Rosehill.

Trifectas, First Fours etc.
In Rosehill R2 the ratings found a $2,924.20 First Four (top 5) and there was also a $593.90 Box 4 First Four in Moonee Valley R6. In Doomben R7 there was a $238.50 Box 4 Trifecta.

Lucky Lil is not looking for horses at short odds and whenever a horse is below $4.00 to $5.00 it is usually below the minimum odds Lucky Lil would take.

Following some huge winning days Lucky Lil's Last Start Winners came back down to earth with just Wicked Intent, $3.80, winning at Doomben. Four of the selections finished second and 2 third, though from the 13 selections a number were at poor odds.

Lucky Lil's Consistent Form Horses again had one selection. Last week it was a $5.00 winner. This week it ran third, also at $5.00.

Lucky Lil's Improvers had 6 selections for Rudy, a $3.60 winner at Doomben. Four of the selections were at double figure odds, including one close to $100.00!

We also provide guidelines to new members on using our betting information for first fours and trifecta betting.

In our newsletters here we have at times indicated how some first fours and trifectas could have been obtained. However on racedays some judgement and skill are needed for this.

For example the same betting method will not work each race, such as boxing selections, or taking the top horse as a standout to win. Some races will also need to be avoided because the odds are not there.

Even with good information playing trifectas and first fours is not a licence to print money. Intelligent use of the information and a lot of discipline is required.

While there can be substantial collects for relatively small outlays there can also be long runs of outs with various betting methods used.
