The Track Specialists Horse Racing Betting System
Often a horse can appear to be out of form or out of its class. Then it surprises and wins at $20.00 or $30.00. Where did that come from? A quick look at the formguide and you see it has five wins from 12 starts at the track and wonder why you never backed it!
Here is an interesting betting system for catching value winners that love the track they are racing on.
Here are the rules:
1. For each race list all the horses who have won at least twice at the track.
2. Now eliminate every horse that has a win strike rate below 25% at the track.
3. You now have your qualifying selections for each race.
4. If there is more than one qualifier in a race then back the horse with the best win strike rate at the track. For example, a horse with two wins from four starts at the track has a 50% win strike rate at the track and would be backed in preference to a horse with four wins from 10 starts at the track because that is a 40% win strike rate at the track.
5. Do avoid short prices.
6. If odds allow you might choose to back more than one horse.
There are plenty of modifications you can make with this betting system. For example, you might include a rule covering strike rates at the distance.
