Horse Racing Form Analysis And Wet Track Betting Strategies

Have a look at how the favourites fared at the rain affected Slow rated track at Randwick last Saturday:

Now that is a sorry tale. Eight well supported betting ring favourites for only four placegetters and not one winner.

Betting becomes very dangerous when track conditions dramatically change. Most recent racing in Sydney has been on Good rated tracks with an occasional Dead rated track. Along comes a genuine rain affected track and favourites' backers were completely wiped out.

We haven't checked any stats. But it would be interesting to see the strike rate of favourites and their loss on turnover when the track rating is very different to that of recent weeks. Just from general observation we suspect it would be worse.

We know our results are not quite as good, and dismissed the Randwick meeting when the track was given as Slow on Saturday morning.
