Horses who are unlucky can often catch everyone by surprise and win or place at one of their next few starts at bolter's odds. That is just what you want for quinellas, trifectas and first four.

Flying Firebird - searched for a run in the straight, held up
Matador - slow to begin
Super Irish - held up in the straight
Ashworth - badly held up in the straight, no luck
Casino Knight - wide run
Al Megdam - slow to begin

Moonee Valley:
 Marie Madeleine - no peace in the lead
Find The Cash - well back, held up at the 400
Zoilus - held up and checked on the home turn
Sabino Canyon - held up and checked early in the straight
Char - inconvenienced, checked on the home turn
Confederate Kid - checked on the home turn and held up
