The Wide Barrier Horse Racing Betting System

Here is a horse racing selection method aimed at betting horses that may be over the odds because of their wide barriers. These horses can be backed for the win or included in exotics betting like trifectas.

Here are the rules:

1. The horse must start from barrier 12 or wider after scratchings.

2. The race must not be a straight race like the Flemington 1000.

3. The horse must be a regular run on horse/backmarker (you can get this information from any good formguide.)

4. There must be at least two leaders in the race after scratchings to ensure enough pace. (Again you can get this information from any good formguide.)

5. There won't be too many candidates. Look for horses that are at least $11.00 which in the past have run places or won over the distance (or within 200 metres either side).

6. Check to see that they have a good jockey, are down in the weights, (even better if carrying less weight than normal), and have at least some ability so at their best they look some sort of chance.
